About Rosh Optics
Established by Nirosha Prasanna, Rosh Optics is a Dispensing Opticians based in Shoeburyness, Southend-on-Sea. Nirosha started off as a Saturday girl in an optician from the young age of just seventeen! She then went off to university and qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2008, and has vast experience and knowledge in the optical field.
Rosh Optics is a small and local business that opened its doors to serve the community with affordable eyewear. We are unique, as we are the sole dispensing-only store in Shoeburyness that has a qualified Dispensing Optician in store to fit and supply your spectacles. It’s all about the clients; we are committed to giving you the best experience, leaving with high-quality prescription glasses and sunglasses that you will love. Our personal service and face-to-face consultations are all about really getting to know every one of our clients as an individual, so we can tailor our expert advice and craftsmanship to your unique requirements.
The modern retail climate seems to be moving towards a more automated, conveyor belt approach. Multiple retailers are trying to get clients to buy in the high street stores (but who wants to pay high street prices?) or online, which opens up a bag of worms. This makes buying spectacles very impersonal and it is extremely difficult to ensure that the spectacles are fitted properly. This can make the difference between being able to see correctly or not!
We believe that spectacles, in particular, should be “dispensed” and that is what we do. If you buy spectacles that don’t allow you to see clearly, then there is no point! Clients often assume that buying online is cheaper and don’t realise the difference a good dispensing optician makes to your final ability to see correctly and comfortably fitting spectacles.
